The Challenge

As a digital healthcare service provider, Eucalyptus needs reliable people that can provide an above-average level of service to customers in Australia and around the world. One of the main challenges in the company’s hiring process is that they could only hire medical interns, who looked at their role as a temporary situation instead of a long-term career. This wasn’t an ideal situation for Eucalyptus, who needed people that would dedicate time and effort to provide the best possible patient experience. This talent gap led to lower engagement and customer satisfaction rates.

The Solution

In an effort to address these hiring concerns, Eucalyptus decided to transition into the Philippines. However, another challenge arose: they had no idea how to build an entity in the country. This is where nXscale comes in. nXscale consulted with the company to provide insights on how labor laws and regulations worked here and how they can build a team while also focusing on growing their business in Australia and beyond. To provide the support Eucalyptus needed, nXscale focused on the following:

  • How to structure a Philippine-based entity
  • The type of talent it could find in the country
  • What type of talent it needs to succeed in the long term

The nXscale Advantage

By tapping the available talent in the Philippines, nXscale was able to “upgrade” Eucalyptus’s roster. The patient care professionals hired here were registered nurses with more experience and knowledge about the services Eucalyptus provides and the customers they serve. Working with registered nurses here was a win-win situation because it not only elevated the service Eucalyptus provided, it also provided better opportunities for nurses here who were facing the challenges of an oversaturated industry. Working with Eucalyptus also gave the nurses the chance to work remotely, with significantly less fieldwork.

nXscale was able to hire 30+ employees for Eucalyptus across a variety of roles, including patient care specialists, team leads, and creatives. At present, their Philippine office houses 120+ employees. We have retained a strong relationship with Eucalyptus, providing the necessary assistance depending on their current growth stage and supporting their payroll and other finance functions.
