KING REYES
Chief Executive Officer
With over two decades of global experience in leadership and digital transformation, King currently serves as the CEO of nXscale, driving the company’s mission to be the leading recruitment and outsourcing firm in the country. By harnessing the power of technology and operational efficiency, he is positioning nXscale at the forefront of HRTech innovation in the Philippines. King has led high-impact initiatives with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Department of Education, Fortune 500 companies, and several major organizations, managing regional programs across the globe. His career spans leadership roles such as CEO and CTO of PoundIT Inc., where he drove a successful B2B pivot that led to significant GMV growth, and founder of Bootstrap.ph, a multi-awarded IT and office solutions provider. With deep technical expertise, he consistently delivers strategic results. King, together with all nXplorers, is committed to innovation, operational excellence, and empowering organizations to scale smarter and faster.
KEI SAN PABLO-MERCADO
Chairperson & Advisor
As the Board Chairperson, she oversees the overall direction of the company and provides insights regarding strategy. Kei has a track record of building tech unicorns; as Country Manager for Canva Philippines, she launched, built, and scaled Canva Philippine’s strategic operations from one to a team of over 200 across Product Growth, Marketplace, Design, Customer Happiness, Engineering, and Operations. She was also Head of Operations at SafetyCulture Manila, where she managed and led strategic operations in Customer Support, Customer Success, Customer Onboarding, and SEO functions. In her free time, you can catch her at the beach getting a tan.
PAT ERICK BUNA
Chief Finance Officer
As the CFO, he manages the overall finances of the company. Pat has more than a decade of solid experience in the finance and tech industries, managing operations in the startup, audit, banking, telco , and fintech space. He was Chief Finance Officer of LM10, an AgTech company, and Head of Finance at Canva, responsible for building its Global Shared Services for the finance function. A CPA and CFO by profession and a vegetable farmer in his free time, his ultimate goal in every endeavor is sustainability. In his downtime, he tends to his vegetable farm in Batangas.
JOAN APRIL VALLEJO
Co-founder & Head of People
As Head of People, Joan makes sure that there’s no shortage of talent for nXscale clients. She also ensures that both clients and applicants have the best experience —always. Joan is an experienced Recruitment Lead with a demonstrated history of working in the information services industry. With a background in contact center operations and HR, she has acquired a versatile skill set that includes backend operations, sourcing, screening, and a proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). She has also worked with the country’s top BPO companies, including Convergys, eTelecare, and KGB Philippines. In between all this, Joan still finds time to bond with her two sons and bake scrumptious pastries.
ALEXIS DELA CRUZ
Head of Communications
As the Head of Communications, he is responsible for planning and executing a cohesive branding and communications strategy. Alex has worked in a variety of industries, working as a content creator, editor, and SEO specialist for more than a decade. He was head of the SEO team at SafetyCulture before joining nXscale.
MAJORIE ANN VELASQUEZ
Commercial Accountant
As the Commercial Accountant, she is in charge of the financial operations of the organization, including the team’s compensation and benefits. Maj has worked in one of the Big 4 accounting firms and a local agritech startup. She is a certified Belieber so don’t be surprised if you hear her singing one of JBieber’s new tracks.
CHERRY DE CASTRO
People Operations Specialist
As a People Operations Specialist,she is responsible for nXscale’s end-to-end recruitment efforts. Cherry has worked in BPO-Operations, RPO, and career adviser, leading to her interest in the various facets of HR. Outside working hours, you can find Cherry binge-watching medieval fantasy films, biopics, and documentaries.
LARA TRISA MARTIN
Talent Acquisition Specialist
As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, Lara seeks and taps talents across the Filipino market and aligns them with the client’s hiring needs. She has been in the industry for 9 years, working for BPO and Shared Service Center. When she’s not wearing her recruiter hat, she’s out trying new experiences and places across the metro.

Digital Marketing Associate
As nXscale’s trusty digital marketing maven, Rodly brings her creative spirit to the company’s marketing and social media campaigns, ensuring catchy and engaging content. She also assists in administrative tasks and helps the team focus by ensuring that nothing falls between the cracks. Rodly loves fashion, art, photography, and of course, food.
